Duet – School of Russian Ballet offers ballet programs for kids ages 7 - 18 and for little kids age 5 - 6 during the school year and summer. Professional and Recreational programs are always available. We strive for excellence and encourage all our students to fulfill their highest dance potential and enjoy their time at our school.
The main goal of “Duet-SRB” is to provide a professional ballet program where we prepare our students for a very exciting and self-fulfilling career in the world of dance and arts culture.

- Our intensive students are trained and prepared to attend various art schools such as Mark Twain, Bay Academy, La Guardia high school and others.
- Exclusive at Duet-SRB: we provides a Partnering class with our teacher, a ballet dancer Mr. Albert. The Partnering class helps understanding many rules and corrections which they have during the regular ballet class, work on coordination, balance, turns, have clear positions and poses.
- All our students are learning many variations/solos from classical ballet, which is also help to understand corrections and movements and learn how to memorize the routine, learning the movements transitions and how to improve them self and fill comfortable on stage.
- Our intensive students participate at various international ballet competitions such as YAGP, WBAC-Grand Prix, Jewels Festival and others, when they achieving prizes, awards, and scholarships.
- Our intensive students have FREE costumes for competitions and performances.
- Our intensive ballet students have a discount for private classes.
- The Duet – SRB has exclusive Intensive Summer/Winter Ballet programs located in Brooklyn and Upstate NY.
- Students from other school also are welcome to sign up for Daily Ballet Classes program.
- The Duet - SRB holding few productions during the year: The Nutcracker, Spring and Summer performances.
Duet Goals
Our main goal will be to work hard and provide high education in the ballet arts and growing our students to be professional ballet dancers. Here are our main directions, goals and general outline of our school:
If you wish to sign up for the Professional Ballet program, you will have to audition during the summer virtual classes. (from ages 7 and up). This audition is required sign up for our professional ballet classes, on top of following our curriculum, attending ballet competitions and festivals.
We will have recreational classes for basic ballet education for monthly sign up without any auditions for ages 6 and up. These would be a GREAT introduction for anyone into the world of ballet. Classes available in the studio or online.
Scholarships
GIFTED and TALENTED KIDS
“Duet” offers two scholarships that are available for gifted and talented kids. The first of which is for students who would like to learn ballet at a professional level, but their family cannot afford the education at our school. The scholarship can be given to the child of age 7 and up with or without ballet experience. A child has to audition and sign up for the Professional Ballet Program. After meeting with the parents and discussing their family income, our directors will decide if they will qualify for the scholarship. This will either be a partial or full scholarship. If accepted the student must follow all the rules of the Professional Ballet Program, must participate in all performances and must be apart of the Competition Team.
Deposit of $300 is required. All performance fees, costumes fees, summer, winter, spring intensive fees are not included in the package. No free private lessons will be given to scholarship recipients.
BOYS IN BALLET
FREE ballet education for all boys from ages 10 and up at the Duet – School of Russian Ballet Professional Ballet Program. All boys must follow all the rules of the Professional Ballet Program and sign the Boys in Ballet agreement. No ballet experience is needed but an audition is required.
· All performance fees, costumes fees, summer, winter, spring intensive fees are not included in the package.
· A deposit of $500 is required to receive a FREE ballet education including the Duet Professional Intensive Ballet Program.
· The Deposit will hold the boy at the program for 3 years and after the 3rd year, you may take your deposit back or it can be forwarded to the next 3 years or put it towards our summer, winter or spring intensive camps.
